CANNABINOID FAQs

Finding what THC or CBD product works best for each individual is extremely overwhelming. Each user reacts differently. However, users are looking for specific effects and experiences when purchasing THC or CBD products. This guide will help assist you in knowing what cannabinoid and products are right for you!

What Is THCA?

THCA is a cannabinoid found in raw and unprocessed cannabis. Unlike its famous cousin, THC, THCA doesn’t induce the euphoric “high” typically associated with cannabis consumption. It’s the precursor to THC, and to experience the psychoactive effects of THC, THCA must undergo decarboxylation, a process involving heat.  Combustible products like flowers & vapes will give you a strong high depending on the concentrations of THCA.  Low THCA will be mellowing while high THCA is for more experienced users.  Due to it’s change from heat you want to keep THCA products out of the heat & sunlight.  Also we highly recommend keeping a lab report with your products which are available online and in store. We do not ship THCa products to the following states where THCa is restricted or illegal: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington.

Delta-8 THC (“Delta-8”) is a cannabinoid that can be derived from either Hemp or Cannabis.

All of Magic City Organic’s Hemp Delta-8 THC products are derived from 100% USA Organic Hemp.

Delta-8 THC is Delta-9 THC’s (the main active cannabinoid in cannabis) cousin. Delta-8 THC is chemically different from Delta-9 THC by only a few atomic bonds and still offers a potent high of its own.

The difference between Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC is minimal: Both give you intoxicating effects.

No taking a metered dose of CBD will not get you high.

Does CBD work for everyone?
No and there are a variety of factors that can come into play. For some people it’s difficult for them to keep up with taking something on a regular basis or even for long enough to see the what it can do. There’s so many different products on the market they all don’t work the same so sometimes people get discouraged after trying one product.
Can I fail a drug test from taking CBD?

Absolutely. False positives happen every day and depending on potency, frequency of use and metabolism you could test dirty.

What is Full-Spectrum CBD?

Full-spectrum CBD is a type of CBD that contains all beneficial compounds naturally found in the cannabis plant including THC.

What is Broad-Spectrum CBD?

Broad-Spectrum CBD is a type of CBD that contains all beneficial compounds naturally found in the cannabis plant without THC.

What if I’m sensitive to certain tastes?
A lot of full spectrum products can have a pretty incredible strong hemp taste if you are sensitive to certain flavors then I highly recommend looking towards a broad spectrum or an isolate based product or even an edible.
What is the difference between full spectrum and isolate based CBD products?
I always give people the carrot analogy when describing the differences between the two. A CBD isolate product would be comparable to pulling one essential vitamin or mineral from a carrot vegetable. We’re in this instance it’s hemp and you are taking the CBD out of the hemp. Now you’ll get a lot more health benefits if you eat the entire carrot when you get the flavonoids terpenes and all of the vitamins and minerals. This is essentially why a full spectrum product is so much better. You’re getting the whole plant not just a portion of it.
